Prestigious ‘Thailand Headlines Person of the Year Awards’ Honors Influential Figures

The “Thailand Headlines Person of the Year Awards 2015” event was held with great grandeur. Organized by @ManGu Magazine in collaboration with Thailand Headlines news agency, this prestigious national award ceremony was led by Rui Guo, Managing Director of Jiaranai Entertainment Co., Ltd., and Editor-in-Chief of @ManGu Magazine. The awards recognize individuals who have brought fame to Thailand and significantly contributed to enhancing Thai-Chinese relations. This marks the third consecutive year the awards have been presented, with recipients selected by Chinese media for their outstanding achievements.

The event was graced by H.E. Mr. Ning Fukui, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, and M.L. Panadda Diskul, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, who had the honor of presenting the awards. The accolades were divided into five categories: News and Politics, Thai-Chinese Relations, Finance and Business, Society and Lifestyle, and Culture and Entertainment. There was also a special category, the IME Chinese Online Media Popular Awards. The ceremony took place at the Aksra Theatre, King Power.

On this occasion, Sirin Phathanothai, Strategy613 Director, was honored in the Thai-Chinese Relations category for her outstanding contributions to strengthening the China-Thailand relationship. Her eldest son, Joe Horn-Phathanothai, CEO of Strategy613, accepted the award on her behalf.

Reflecting on the past and looking to the future, Sirin once said, “China and Thailand are one family, and this tradition must be passed down from generation to generation.” Today, not only does Sirin’s generation serve as envoys, a role entrusted to them by their parents, but her two sons, Joe and Leo Horn-Phathanothai, have also become exemplary diplomatic envoys between Thailand, China, and the world. We hope that China and Thailand will continue to be good neighbors, partners, friends, and relatives who live in harmony and share both joy and hardship.
